The Logie 100 Project was set up to help commemorate and celebrate the first Council Housing Scheme in Dundee and Scotland.

We are currently running a Creative Writing group and undertaking Oral History Research to promote local knowledge on Logie. You don’t need to live in Logie to take part – anyone can take part in the programme of events.

As part of our project we are looking for your photographs of what home and community means to you.

The History of the Scheme
Logie was the first Council House Scheme in Dundee and Scotland. It was built in 1919-1921. The scheme was officially opened on 27th May 1920 and the first residents moved in soon afterwards. It also had a innovative heating system – the first of its kind in Europe.
